BAILEY

Hi Annamarie

Just thought I'd drop you a line as I have news!  This is Bailey here, we went to live with Clare and Liam in Northampton a year ago. Well, nice as the two foots are, I was a bit bored.  They took me to a place where lots of my fellow rabbits, who hadn't been so lucky as me, had been dumped because no one loved them.  There they chose me my boyfriend.  I would have liked a say in it myself, he is a bit common, no pedigree!  But, all the same he is very lovely and we get on very well.  I have to say, since this cold weather he has come in very handy to snuggle up to.

He panders to my every ear-cleaning need, and I always get first go at the food bowl.  I do get a bit of whisker envy though, his are very long and luscious, but then his coat isn't so plush as mine.  I have grown up lots now as you can see.  I have stopped chewing and for a treat I get a honey Cheerio every day, just the one mind, got to watch my figure!

Lots of love

Bailey and Buster x

LADY TARKA VALENTINE

Hi Annamarie,
just wanted to let you know how well our beautiful lady rex has settled in. We have called her Lady Tarka Valentine, as she is clearly a beautiful pure bred otter rabbit...and knows it! I have attached some photos, one of which is her clutching my wallet (maybe she's planning that trip to Harrods after all!)! We are getting her a friend in a few weeks, but for the moment, she is enjoying all the attention! She is very inquisitive and loves exploring our yard and under the sofa. Pete thinks she has gown quite a bit already and she seems to like stretching out in the sun, which is very cute. We wanted to say a big thank you to you, as we think she is very special and really tame. Hope everything is going well for you and your wonderful rabbits!
All the best, Sarah and Pete. x

TRI-COLOUR ENGLISH

28th April 2008

Hi Annamarie,
Thank you so much for my Tri's, they are fantastic. Just to let you know that both bunny's have settled in well and love their cuddles. They have been out playing today in the garden and they love it. Will be getting them in soon though as it looks like its going to rain again, so don't want them to get wet lol.
The Hamsters are Fantastic and can't thank you enough for all of them either, had a go at the mating game last night but nothing took so i thought i would leave it a while and then try again with them, to make sure they are happy and settled enough.
All good fun! Hope you're ok
Take care

19th April 2008

Hi Annemarie
How are you?  How is the showing going?
Hope all is well and just wanted to send a picture of Casper and Whisky (Becks daughter).
We bought Casper from you about a year ago (Think it was May time).  He is doing well and I hope you can add the picture to your customers photos and letters.
Casper is a very contented rabbit who loves running free in the garden and follows Whisky everywhere.  Both are spayed and neutered and are inseperable!

BRAMBLE

Hi Annamarie
Just a quick update on this lovely rabbit
Bramble is now paired up with a neutered female black Rex and they get on really well together
Since he moved in with his friend, his appetite has doubled. He still prefers straw to hay and he would eat a stone of carrots a day if I let him
Pics attached and I hope the showing is going well
I intend to visit a show this summer
Best regards
John

MILLIE & OLLIE

16th January 2008
Hi Annamarie

Just thought you might like a couple of photos of Ollie and Millie - they are doing really well, and both have good appetites.  Millie is the leader and Ollie follows where she has been, so a typical scenario would be that Millie would hop off somewhere and nudge something with her nose and then a couple of seconds later Ollie would do the same!  She is much more adventurous than him - she is a really good jumper as well! whereas Ollie sits and looks down or up and waits to be lifted! dare I say a typical male!!!!!

They are eating well and both in good health, all vaccinated and both had had their 'operations' - also as you can probably tell she is bigger than him, but then she sits in the food bowl with her mouth open ready for you to pour!

Let me know if the photos come over ok and we will send more at a later date - just getting to grips with the technology!

Kind regards and best wishes for the New Year

Sue and Hannah

BAILEY

17th December 2007
It’s me Frosty!!  I have been renamed Bailey (amongst other things!), and manage to ignore it every time it’s used!

As you can see I quickly made myself at home, by having a lovely long sleep, which I do rather a lot.  I particularly like my little rug under the radiator which is nice on a winter’s day, and that’s the one thing I am allowed to chew.

I have also tried out my new summer gaffe as there were a couple of nice warm sunny days a few weeks ago.  It’s not too bad, there’s a good ramp that I enjoy flinging myself off to get downstairs, failing that I eat it.  Then I have a nice big area to run around in, and drive the neighbour’s cats to distraction.

My favourite tunnel is great fun.  I run through it so fast that it slides across the floor and I end up with my face in the skirting board, oh and while I am there, I might chew it!  That tunnel is also great for sleeping in too.

I have my very own box too, I enjoy sitting in it and watching what’s going on in the kitchen.  My favourite place to push it to is generally the middle of the floor, so I don’t miss a trick, but I tend to trip people up.

I am getting there with the litter training, but prefer to use the dustpan instead, and seeing as I have pulled nearly all the bristles out of the brush, it doesn’t really have any other use anymore.

I got taken to the vets to have my jabs which wasn’t a lot of fun, that was  a couple of days after I left you, not a very nice welcome!  The two foots aren’t too bad, but keep telling me off for eating things.  So far I have demolished a bit of skirting board and a welly, well that’s all they’ve found anyway :)   They seem to be coming to grips with the fact that I am now in charge, but it’s taking a bit of work!   I can run extremely fast, and have even made it up a couple of stairs before I got found out.  I am perfecting the ‘it wasn’t me’ look, and it seems to work, although I have been put back in my cage a couple of times in shame.

Hope all my brothers and sisters have found good homes, I am looking forward to Christmas here, there’s a big sparkly tree to chew on in the other room, now if only I could get in there ..........

Love Bailey X

BRAMBLE

4th December 2007
Hi
Just a quick e-mail to let you know that Regulus(now Bramble) has settled in very well. He has had his Myxi Vac and is developing a taste for hay and a bit of grass. I have also had him neutered and within 3 days he had recovered well and was eating everything offered
He gets a couple of hours a day in a large run and  quite enjoys himself and for a big rabbit he is quite acrobatic
Today i let him meet his 'partner to be' Berry. They seemed to hit it off and there was no fur flying
I will let them play together for an hour or so each day and hopefully by the end of the week i will house them together
Many thanks for a lovely rabbit and helpful advice and good luck with the showing of these very handsome rabbits. I will keep an eye open and may see some of your prize rabbits on show one day

best regards

BABY BLUE, RUNNY BABBIT & COCO

21st November 2007
Hi Annamarie,

Just wanted to let you know that the the bunnies have all settled in nicely, still deciding on names but so far we have Baby Blue and Runny Babbit (lol) and Coco....well for the for the moment at least as all seem open to change and have done so numerous times already lol.

If you do decide to breed the Black Otter you showed me please could you put me on the list for a doe as I was completely taken when I seen her.

I shall keep you posted on how the babies are doing and try to get you some pictures of them in their new home for you.

Many thanks and kind regards

CHARLIE & BO

20th November 2007
Hi Anna Marie,

Just to let you know my two little bunnies I took from you a few weeks ago are doing well.
I named them Charlie and Bo! I was wondering if you had any adult mini rex does available at the moment?

Thanks again
Erin.

LACEY

19th November 2007

I've attached a pic of Lacey who came from you a few months back! She's doing really well, she's so greedy! I think she'd make short work of the whole sack if I let her!!

Cheers Faye

ROSIE

Hi Annamarie

Just a quick note to let you know how Rosie is doing.  Aimee chose her name - in fact her whole name is Rosie Gold!
She has been really good and has settled in well.  She is also getting used to being handled, although we are not without the odd scratch.
We have also had our first encounter with rabbit incontinence!  Have attached a picture and Aimee loved looking at Rosie's parents on your website.
Any advice on what to do over Guy Fawkes period? What's your opinion on mineral stones?

Thanks, Rebecca

CHLOE

Hello AnnaMarie,
I attach a photo of Chloe - she really is part of the family.
 Kind regards, Tanya

MICKEY & TALLULAH

Here is James with Mickey and Tallulah, a pair of blanket broken pattern castor miniature rex rabbits. James' mum tells me that he is a very responsible rabbit owner and I can well believe her. Mickey & Tallulah are enjoying their new home in Cambridgeshire.

Hi Annamarie---from Suffolk,
Just a quick message to say that the 6 rabbits we collected from you at the Tractor Show at Haynes are all doing well! They are kept as 3 pairs and each pair has settled into their new homes. We are keeping an eye on the boys to make sure that they stay as 6 and not increase to 60! They have all had their Myxomatosis vaccinations and the Vet seemed interested in rabbits and checked them out thoroughly and said that they were all in good health.

We are feeding them on dry pellets and they also have a hay feeder, but we are not really sure what quantity of pellets they should have. Each pair has a small dishful between them each day which they always finish. Do you consider this to be enough? We do not want to overfeed them and I guess they will eat however much is fed to them.

We hope you are doing OK with all your rabbits.

Best wishes,

John & family.

LACE

LACE is a BROKEN BLACK miniature rex buck. He has gone to live with Leanne in Northamptonshire. She has already got him posing for her!

Hi Annamarie,

Just thought I'd give you an update on the black otter and tort does I had off you in March. They have both recently had litters from my black otter buck. The tort has 2 black & 2 otter. The otter has 2 chocolate & 1 black. Too early to tell what they will be like but they're all healthy and well fed.

Thanks for two great mums!

Lorraine Wills

ELLIOTT

Hi Annamarie,

Thought you might like a little update on the Rabbits we brought from you at the beginning of the summer. We had the lovely little black female and the gorgeous little orange male.
They are well and truly settled and thoroughly enjoying life with Oscar & Charlotte (the kids). They come out to play each evening and have their own toy box now!
Elliot (the male) is a canny little soul: every time I take him into the vets to be castrated he breathes in deeply and the “crown jewels” disappear back up inside!!!!  This lead to a rather delightful surprise on Saturday morning when our two bunnies became eight!!!!!
Mum, offspring (and Dad!) are doing very well and we already have a queue of people offering homes to the little ones.
As soon as we can get some pictures of the whole family we’ll send them over for your website.
Thank you for letting us have the rabbits in the first place, they are an absolute delight and an endless source of amusement!!

Sandy

BECK

This is BECK, a BLANKET BROKEN BLACK miniature rex buck. He has just gone to his second home with Leanne in Northamptonshire and has already 'loved up' her doe, Chia. I swapped Beck for Cocoa, a chocolate otter miniature rex doe.

FURBY

FURBY is a silver agouti rex guinea pig that I bred. (I also breed pure bred silver agouti rex cavies). He is now owned by my friend from work, Cathy, who lives in Cambridgeshire. He is pictured here with BRODIE, my blanket broken black otter mini rex. They are both at the Castle Ashby country fair Pet Show held on 8th July 2007. FURBY came 1st in this show and won some lovely prizes including a red rosette!

'POSH RABBIT'!!

Posh Rabbit is an otter rex doe bred by me in early 2007. She was purchased by Floyd from Cambridgeshire to be a show bunny. He took her out to his and her first ever rabbit show in June 2007 at Market Deeping (Peterborough Rabbit Club). They came away having won Best Rex. Not bad for a first show!!!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!

JASPER & AMBER

Jasper is a dilute tortoiseshell miniature rex buck and Amber is a broken red miniature doe. I bred them both in Spring 2007. They live happily together with their new owner, Jenny, in Telford. Jasper & Amber don't know it yet, but neutering & spaying are on the cards!

Jenny has been extremely sensible. She wanted two rabbits to keep each other company. The easiest pairing is a neutered buck and a spayed doe, and this is what Jenny has with Jasper & Amber.

VALENTINE

I bred Valentine on February 14th 2006. He is a dilute tortoiseshell standard rex buck. He was purchased by Kev for Jon's Birthday. Happy Birthday Jon! Here he is blending in with Kev & Jon's sofa. I think he matches it perfectly! His new home is in Bedfordshire.

BERTIE

Bertie is a Lynx Miniature Rex buck that I bred last year. He belongs to Sharon & Nick who live in Northamptonshire. Bertie seems to be having a fantastic time in his nice new garden.

JACK

Jack is a broken Black miniature rex. Jack was previously known as Beck when he lived at home, but his new owner, Gurj, found him a more suitable name! I bred Jack in 2006. Jack now lives happily in Northamptonshire with many girlfriends and has sired some lovely babies.

FAITH

Faith is a miniature rex doe that I bred in 2006. She is a broken pattern and is now owned by Leanne and lives in Northamptonshire. She looks very proud in this photograph.

TOTO

This is Toto. He is a blanket broken lynx miniature rex buck. I bred him in 2006. He now lives with his new owner, Leanne, in Northamptonshire.

HOLLY

Holly is a spotted black otter cross breed rabbit. I bred her as part of a breeding programme to produce very small mini rexes. She now belongs to Lizzie, a friend at work, who lives in Cambridgeshire. Holly has since been to visit Brodie, my broken black otter mini rex, and has recently produced two little broken black otter babies. One is normal coated and one is rex coated. Both babies will be available to purchase from Lizzie.

SHADE

I bred Purdey last year. She is a standard black otter rex doe. She has been renamed Shade and lives happily with her new owners, Kelly & Pete in Cambridgeshire. She also has a handsome Castor Rex boyfriend.

JOE

Joe is one of my ex-show Chinchilla standard rex bucks. He now lives with my friend from work, Cathy, and her two daughters Emma & Kirsty in Cambridgeshire.
